Cancer Trials Australia is governed by a Board of Directors with a range of corporate and management skills and a commitment to good corporate governance practice. The Chairman is a specialist oncology clinician and is advised through a number of subcommittees:

· Finance and Audit Subcommittee
· Performance and Remuneration Subcommittee

In addition, key groups have been established to provide advice to the Board and Management on the formulation of strategic direction in the clinical trial program and relations with members:

· Speciality Tumour Groups
· Associate Medical Directors (operating at member sites)

Cancer Trials Australia members participate in the Clinical Trials Program Groups in their chosen speciality and provide input into clinical trial conduct at monthly Clinical Trial Project meetings.

The Management Team is headed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO is supported by functional managers that ensure the provision of member services to sponsors and provide financial analysis and review of operations to ensure the timely and appropriate management of funds.

The Management team is assisted by the Associate Medical Directors, who maintain a review of patient accruals and the adoption of new investigations by members.

The evaluation of clinical trials is undertaken by Tumour Groups, whose function it is to recommend the adoption of new trials at member sites.

The Administrative Team is dedicated to providing services, which surpass the expectations of clinical trial investigators and sponsors. The Team provide ethics submission coordination, transparent budgets, project management and process improvement.
